2 arrested & shots fired after Chicago police chase in McKinley Park

Two people were arrested and a third was at large Friday morning after a police chase in the McKinley Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side Thursday night.

Officers saw a vehicle, traveling at a high rate of speed, drive through a stop sign in the 3200 block of South Claremont about 10:30 p.m., police said. The officers tried to pull the vehicle over, and a chase ensued.

The vehicle crashed about a half block away at 32nd and Western, police said. Three males got out and ran off, with one pulling out a handgun and pointing it at officers, police said.
