We must appease the Lawless Negroes - Nearly two dozen Chicago Police Officers disciplined for faulty dashboard cameras

Nearly two dozen Chicago police officers have been disciplined in recent weeks for having faulty dashboard cameras or not using them properly as fallout continues since the release of the video of the fatal police shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald.

The crackdown came after the department was embarrassed when the video that captured McDonald being shot 16 times – as well as dash-cam videos from four other squad cars at the scene – had little discernible audio. Officer Jason Van Dyke was charged with first-degree murder.

Soon after he was named to succeed the fired Garry McCarthy, interim police Superintendent John Escalante warned the 12,000-strong force of the potential of discipline for failing to make sure their cameras were working properly at the start of their shifts.

Inspectors began performing random checks to determine if officers properly notified their supervisors of faulty cameras.

Over about the past month, 22 rank-and-file cops and supervisors received punishments ranging from a simple reprimand to a three-day suspension. Officers also were disciplined for not uploading whatever footage was captured on the dash-cams at the end of their tours, a police spokesman said.
