Chicago Police: Black Robbers target same 7-Eleven store in Chicago's Downtown Loop FIVE times

Police are warning businesses in the Loop after a string of robberies hit the same 7-Eleven store downtown in December.

Five robberies took place at one 7-Eleven store in the 0-100 block of North Wells Street between Dec. 23 and Dec. 30, according to Chicago police.

All five robberies occurred Dec. 23, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 28 and Dec. 30 between 1:30 a.m. and 3:40 a.m., according to an emailed alert.

In each incident, three attackers entered the store to steal retail products. One attacker stood by the store’s door as a lookout and directed the sales clerk not to move or make any calls, according to the alert.

Meanwhile, the two other attackers filled their backpacks with food, cartons of cigarettes and liquor bottles.

Suspects are black men between 18 and 22 years old, according to the alert.
