Did Piotr Dutkiewicz, 51, end up dying attempting to "earn" a cigarette from a fellow inmate by orally pleasuring him???
An Elgin man taken into custody after making a bomb threat Tuesday died after being found unresponsive at the Kane County Jail, officials said Wednesday.Officers said Piotr Dutkiewicz, 51, was found in a booking-area bathroom about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, as officers were processing him on charges from an incident earlier that took place as he was being evicted from his residence in the 600 block of Forest Drive.
Medical personnel immediately began lifesaving attempts, and Dutkiewicz was transported to Delnor Hospital in Geneva, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
Kane County sheriff's Lt. Pat Gengler said Wednesday that jail officials think they know what caused the death, but he said the department is declining to comment until the coroner's office completes an initial investigation. Foul play is not suspected, he said. A message left at the coroner's office was not immediately returned.
